| In DX, DX-VP, LX, LX-S, EX and EX-L trim levels, the 2009 Civic Sedan is motivated by the responsive 140-horsepower 1.8-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine that can be paired with either a smooth-shifting 5-speed automatic or the 5-speed manual transmission (MT). The Civic Sedan qualifies as an Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle. |

| Body and Styling |
The 2009 Civic Sedan gets fresh exterior design and luxurious leather interiors. Standard exterior features include restyled front grille; revised head- and taillight colors; steeply raked windshield; sleek lines; short front and rear overhangs; 15-inch wheels on DX and DX-VP and 16-inch alloy wheels on other trims; and two-speed intermittent windshield wipers.
The inside of the 2009 Civic Sedan EX-L comes with heated front seats, while the new LX-S gets exclusive silver-stitched black upholstery. The two-tier instrument panel; a flat rear floor; tachometer; power windows; storage bins; and a 12-volt power outlet are standard amenities offered on the 2009 Civic Sedan.
Technological enhancements include new USB Audio Interface on the EX and EX-L, and also optional Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with voice recognition and Bluetooth Hands-Free Link.
