Best Honda Color Car to Buy

Choosing the right color for your car may not seem that important compared to other vehicle considerations. But you should consider car color for more than just style purposes. Choosing the wrong color car may mean higher costs, poor resale value, or more maintenance costs.

Most people don't consider car color to be a high priority, but choosing the best car color to buy matters as you'll want to drive away in a car that fits your style preferences, works with your physical needs, and has a high resale value. We'll go over why car color matters and detail some of the most important aspects of car color to keep in mind when shopping. In addition, we'll also go over the current Honda models and the colors available for each trim level so that you can choose the trim and color that best suits your preferences.

What Factors Should You Consider When Choosing a Car Color?

Does the color of a car matter? When buying a new car, many people wonder if the color of the car really matters. While color does play a role in the overall exterior aesthetics, there are also a few other factors that you should consider. These factors could save you money down the road, so it's important to carefully choose the best car color to buy long term.

Personal Preference

One of the most important factors when choosing a car color is your personal preference. Ultimately, the best car color to buy will suit your style. If you get a bold-colored car when you actually prefer understated neutral shades, then you'll hate driving it around. Though you should consider a lot more factors rather than just style, you should choose a color that you don't mind seeing every day, especially if you plan on keeping your car for a few years.

Resale Value

The other important point to keep in mind when choosing a car color is its resale value. Some car colors don't hold up well over time. While you may like a unique car color, when you go to sell your car, you might have trouble finding potential buyers. Popular car colors, like black, white, gray, or silver, typically are easier to sell than rare car colors.

You should also consider the amount of maintenance that certain car colors will require. Silver and gray colors tend to be the colors that require the least amount of maintenance. They hide dirt and water spots well. White colors tend to show dirtiness rather quickly. Dark colors, like black, green, and blue are also hard to maintain as automated car washes can leave streaks, plus dust will be more noticeable.

Insurance Costs

The color of your car will not affect your insurance rates directly. However, the color of your car may indirectly affect some insurance rates. For instance, popular car colors will be in higher demand, which means that the price of a vehicle may be higher. A higher overall vehicle price will raise insurance rates. Additionally, since bright-colored cars are less likely to be stolen, insurance companies may offer a lower rate than dark-colored cars. Bright-colored cars are less likely to be stolen because they stick out more and have a lower resale value.
